Outereach: Bio

Outereach

"You'll dance, you'll rock, you'll keep coming back for more." – Miami.com

With an unmistakable sound - fueled by souring fresh melodies and driving rhythms – Outereach is one of South Florida's most dynamic rock acts. The buzz is steaming from its Miami base where the band’s riveting live performances and radio play are causing waves.

Over the course of 10 years, Outereach's musicianship and creativity has continued to expand and evolve, as have their varied, progressive compositions and dedicated fan base. The Miami Herald may have said it best:

"Every now and again, you get turned on to a band that sounds fresh yet familiar at the same time; a group undoubtedly influenced by the great bands of the past but transcending their heroes to produce a genuinely unique sound. To many, Outereach is that band."

Rich with texture and harmony, Outereach’s 2008 release Music for Modern Living again showcases the band’s intrinsic ability to create intelligent rock music that inspires a storm of sing and dance from its listeners. The music from the much-anticipated new EP is closest the members of Outereach have come to fully embracing their 80's pop and 90's rock influences, while steering clear of the stereotypical sound that has flooded the indie dance rock movement.

The band spent four years honing its craft in the thriving music scene of Gainesville, FL, where they built a significant following through Southeastern tours and radio airplay on popular college stations WRUF-FM 103.7 and WHHZ-FM 100.5.

Outereach returned to their hometown of Miami in 2005 and have become a staple of the burgeoning art scene; performing regularly at top venues such as Studio A and Tobacco Road, while organizing a series of art showcase events entitled "Unbreak" that united local bands and artists and led to positive reaction from the press.

In 2006, the band released the full-length album entitled Days Will Go By, which CD Baby described as “a showcase of imagination and pop sensibility.” The album received radio airplay on WVUM-FM 90.5 and Radiate FM 95.3, and the band closed the year by performing alongside the Span Allstars in downtown Miami on New Year's Eve. In 2007, the band top that by performing at the legendary Miami hotel The Biltmore on New Year's Eve to over 1,000 party goers.
